... then to .mp3. I have used Audacity successfully in the past. Just loaded new version from .dmg. Error message on first attempt to sa file. Any help out there?

... same problem. I also tried resetting the preferences. Also downloaded a 2nd time in case the download was corrupt (downloaded from sourceforge). Help appreciated.

If that's the case, the best thing to do is to open Help > Show Log... and copy the list of errors, then force quit Audacity ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3411 ).
