Yes i did install the djio driver and i have tried changing the bit rate. so Audacity cant use the interface because of the type of driver? Any idea what driver i can download and use? Did you also change the project rate bottom left to 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz? Otherwise, does the device still work if...

Guys, many thanks for your help. I will try relocating the laptop and see if that helps. Hard to believe that both machines would have bad drivers; plus source material sounds nice and clean.
