you've got a steep learning curve for a fortnight.
It's not two weeks. The end of July could be a week and a half away or less. Fuzzy values should always be assumed to be worst case -- and that's without emergency deadline mobility.

... you do test with 2.0.1, be sure to quit the currently running Audacity version first, to be sure it's 2.0.1 that's running. Thanks for any further help you can give. Gale

... it looks and sounds fine. Since export essentially does the same as Mix and Render, I don't see a very obvious reason for that. The render may help the project to play without stutters, but shouldn't make the exported file any different. Does the information above about dither help to explain ...
