I used to use Audacity with my PC and never, never had a problem. Now have a Mac (OS X 10.7.5)(.dmg installer). Version of Audacity is 2.0.3. I can record but cannot save anything even in .aud... I get a message that the program might be protected or disk is full. Disk is NOT full. Computer is new....

i figured out it isnt a problem with audacity. it was actually the asio4all i downloaded for kontakt, which i guess you can only use one app at a time. i got it to work the way i had it on my old pc. i bought a virtual audio cable and set that as audacities output device, and also set it in the asi...

Just to close this discussion, I did end up gambling on the Sony ICD-SX1000. It's 1/3 the weight and size of the pcm-m10 and so far I'm getting as good recordings if not better than the PCM-M10. Think I found what I'm looking for!

hi. the track rate and project rate are the same. i ran the revert you told me to download and got the same result. no it wasnt audacity that suggested the realtek driver, just some random forum thread somewhere i was reading. anyways, im currently downloading the latest audio driver for my motherbo...

Thanks for the Audio Device Info. I don't see anything obviously wrong there. the errors remain if i turn off/on overdub Make sure the track rates and project rate (bottom left) match before discounting that as a possible cause. as far as the drivers...when i 1st installed audacity on this machine, ...
