unable to highlight portion to be deleted
using audacity ver. 2.0.3 windows 7 64bit sp1
Im trying to delete the 1st 19 seconds of an audio file ( mp3 ) . it wont allow me to highlight and cut . I have checked the help section and the online tutorials... lets me pick the area to be cut... but all buttons are greyed.

Are you able to export as a WAV file? If so, do that first to ensure that you don't lose your work. Then tell us more about what you have been doing and what you are wanting to do. ;) I have tried to export it as a .WAV file and it always does the same thing and it literally makes no sense at all.....
