... Just re-installation/update of the program did not help. It never usually does, unless you select the installation option to "Reset Preferences"- what gets left behind from the previous installations is your .cfg file *(where your preferences ...

Re: Noise in recorded clip from stereo mix of VLC playback-F

UPDATE:

I succeeded to solve the problem. I uninstalled Audacity completely and removed any traces of the program from the PC. Made a fresh Install and now everything is fine.

Just re-installation/update of the program did not help.

Thank you for this great program!

... so it's not an option. But the current dialog text—"Critical Nyquist files could not be found. Nyquist effects will not work."—doesn't help with that use case either. I'd prefer something like "Critical Nyquist files could not be found. Check for the 'nyquist' folder inside the ...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3 can't find input...Please help!

Just to take the obvious first. Audacity looks for microphones when it starts. Restart Audacity with the headset plugged in.

I have been able to record my USB headset just fine. Attached.

Re: Setup Help...not recording DAW

Thanks...tried but no go...just doesn't start. The Speakers are selected (Creative SBX-Fi) after rescan and when I press record, it looks like it's going to start but the cursor just sits there flashing. So it would appear that Audacity is not detecting sound? My Creative outs/ins are not being used...

I don't mind it so much as it helps to bring down the hiss and adds a warmness to the recordings. However I would like to hear it as unaltered as possible. I see the text in the ...

Audacity 2.0.3 can't find input...Please help!

I am attempting to use Audacity 2.0.3 for the first time. I was following a tutorial that seemed to be going well until I was instructed to select the input device from the drop down menu. It was then that I realized that Audacity is not recognizing the microphone as being present. I am using a USB ...

Re: help on getting an older lo-fi sound

There is a free vst plugin called Lumonix LFX-1310 that has some lofi effects in it. It has a basic eq and an effect called LP Noise which adds vinyl record pops and hiss. It also has an effect called Crusher that can produce lofi type effects.

LAB1200 turntable

I have just installed a PP400 Preamp between my RCA LAB1200 turntable and my Pioneer sound system. When I play an LP, the speed is too fast. Is there a way to adjust the speed on this turntable?

HELP!!
