I've had a crash in audacity and lost about 40 minutes, the recovery keeps failing due to an error saying line not well formed. I've looked into fixing it, but the aup file is lost. I have all the au files, and I've manually spliced things together before, but the naming system is completely changed...

I used to use a video editor that was part of "Nero" which was quite easy to use and reasonably capable. Their current offering is Nero Video 2014 which I have not tried, but there is a free trial version available: http://www.nero.com/eng/products/nero-v ... wnload.php
