Turned off Sound Activated Recording as you suggested and this worked ok, no problems when recording, thanks for your help.

You need to post a segment like this one but one that has the pulsing noise by itself. Where the speaker takes a breath for a second, but the gasp can't be audible. Noise Reduction needs that. I think we can help, but the buzz may not go totally away. Koz

Just a quick note to thank this forum for help getting this project done. In the holiday lull, I will have the time to study the help files so, presumably, hopefully, I will have fewer questions in the future. Thanks for your patience.

I fully agree, so you can add my vote. I use Avidemux for taking the audio out of videos, editing the audio in Auadacity...
