Thank you for your help. Are u sure there is no simpler way to measure the noise interference? To me it just doesn't seem that complicated, such as finding a baseline if static. Aside from that do you have another suggestion for a ...

... not distorting. Maybe it is okay to record at this very low level but I never had this problem with Win XP. I am on version 2.0.5 Thanks for any help you can provide. John
