Re: Rip audio CD DTS 5.1 to multichannel WAV 5.1
I don't think that we are able to help you. This is the Audacity help forum and Audacity does not rip CDs, so for Audacity that's the end of the story. Most evidently you. You may request "Rip from DTS Audio CD" as a feature request, ...

Re: White Noise (static detecton)
Thanks for your guys help, I think I have an idea of what I want to do. Quick question though, I want to use my preamp to connect my microphones to my laptop to record with audacity. Do you have any idea of what I need to connect the amp to a computer?

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
I'm still not clear what you are suggesting Gale,
Perhaps it would help if you could show some screen shots to illustrate how you think it should work.

The mp3's I am attempting to convert are musical keyboard files that

since the is no other instrument playing other than the grand piano. Will let you know
how I make out - thanks again

Re: Converting MP3 - MID Help Please ??
Audacity can export to MIDI, but only from a MIDI file.
See here for tools that attempt to detect notes in audio recordings and convert them to MIDI:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Midi#from_audio .
We can't help you use those tools and please don't expect perfect results with them.

Good morning Gale, I am sorry that you took up my request for help in that manner, I was simply wanting to get to the point without much explanation and had no intention of being abusive. I will certainly appreciate it if you could give some guidance as ...
