How to record from speakers and not from microphone [SOLVED]

... the Hard Limiter can be a little tricky if you don't know what you're doing, but if you get that far and need to use it I'm sure someone here can help with that as well. Good luck to you

Can't play recorded files?
... using audacity. When I export as an mp3 and then open with iTunes and play back I'm getting no sound what so ever. Can some expert please help us. Thanks.

Hi Gale. I tried Trim Silence and it should be useful in some situations. Here's what I'm dealing with. When a song fades out at the end, oftentimes the waves stop but the sound goes on even though all you see is a thin line that looks like silence, so there's no clear indication of where the music ...

It seems that many of the files I've ripped from CDS have unnecessarily long silences at the end and I find myself trimming it off over and over again. I tried the Truncate Silence effect to see if I could automate the process but it doesn't seem to work very well for what I want it to do. Describe...
