Hello, When i Import a file, it used to open n show the wave form. then i used to split it, etc. but now when i import a file there is a straight line all through...pleas help

... the same thing that Gale did, he's going to try to recompile Audacity with the ASIO support and hopefully it will resolve it. Thanks again for the help! Audacity Rocks!

... tend to emphasize the issue of sentences starting off louder. Perhaps if you could raise the microphone up a bit, close to head height, that may help you to maintain a constant distance from the mic.

... (x64) to no avail. I have even uninstalled & re-installed it several times. I have searched the archives here and have found some help from the Help pages but Audacity will still not launch. :( Any ideas? I've never encountered this problem before and it really has me stumped. ...

Then restart Audacity and turn the Audacity input slider up (by the microphone symbol).
