... However, the amplitude of the wave is much too high but I have no idea how to set it lower. Also, no sound at all comes from my speakers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Recording Only From the Sound Card

At the moment when I record audacity takes the sound from both my sound card and my built in mic.

I have tried turning down the mic volume, but then it turns the sound card volume down too.

This is probably a stupid question, but as I said in my other post I am new to MACs. Can anyone help?
