How to split a usb key

I have recorded my old vinyl disks onto a USB key (one face of a vinyl disk is one item on the USB key, i.e. 20 mn approximately).

I would like now to split these items into smaller units, say 3 songs instead of 6.
I need help to carry out this job, and would be grateful if you could help
