Suddenly, cannot record in Audacity: "Error while opening so

... it's unsupported by MicroSoft?) but I'm hoping I can keep Studio One (it has some pretty cool features) AND get my Audacity working again. Please help me get my Audacity back --- it's been 2 hours and I'm starting to shake and drool pathetically! Thanks in advance!

My Scarlet 2i2 does not show as an option for input/output

Mac 10.9.3; Audacity 2.0.5

I'm new to Audacity and my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2. When I connect my 2i2, the computer recognizes it, but it is not showing up in the output or input drop downs to choose it as an option. Help!

... not made by us. We don't provide binaries with ASIO support. Please compile Audacity 2.0.5 or our latest code with ASIO support, because we can't help you with builds made by third-parties. On XP. I assume you are aware of the security risks of doing that, now that Microsoft does not support XP? ...

Exported a track but it is panned to the left

... when i go to export i can choose joint stereo(default) or stereo. Is there a difference. I guess so. Not sure what it means. Thanks appreciate any help

Problem solved!!

Set the sample rate and bit rate in the mac to the audacity sample and bit rate!!!

... a custom effect that I can't find quickly. I think I got the noise better, but I can't get rid of the Noise Gate natural reaction to try to "help me" by smoothing out the clicks. I WANT them harsh and irritating but the attack/decay slider will not go to zero. Koz

Is there a way to increase the quality of the mp3 to let it sound like the ogg's? You can never re-encode a file and make it better. Even if for example an MP3 sounded "dull" and you boosted the high frequencies in Effect > Equalization..., as soon as you encode it in a lossy format like ...

Remove Ground Loop Noise

... it seems the only noise that remains is this ground loop sound. I've also tried high & low pass filters and equalizing but nothing seems to help. Can this horrible sound be removed?
