Can't get correct dB level with spectrum analyzer
... I guess this is normal but I would like to know which function is the best to have accurate peak amplitude and total dB level. Thanks for your help. Nicolas

... my laptop, Sounds I was able to match Sample Rate and setting default devices. Thank you so much for your kind patience, I really appreciate your help. Audacity is a very helpful tool in my team at work, we all use it daily and have come to rely on this great app. Thanks again, Carol

Hi Steve, Thanks for your help, I have selected WASAPI as suggested but there doesn't seem to be the loopback input available, If the input device box is the second box along all I have is Speakers Conexant Smart Audio as the only option. ...

If adjusting buffer does not help, there are many more suggestions here:

... . Installing an audio device (IDT) not meant for your motherboard is very unlikely to help. Audacity needs the audio devices to be on the local computer. So if you can play sound from the remote application on the local Realtek device ...
