That's like shouting straight into someone's ear, or standing close to a runway when a jet aircraft take...

Razor or Cut Tool??

... SO, do I seriously have to select a section, isolate it, export it and then bring it back in??? Why is there not a razor tool or something? Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Volume too low on USB mic - pre-amp help? Mic level vs l

Post a mono clip here on the forum. Pick very high quality MP3 (256) and do it BEFORE you mess with filters and effects. Say a few words at normal volume and then hold your breath for a bit.

Re: Volume too low on USB mic - pre-amp help? Mic level vs l

Thanks Koz. That seems to work, though it's a little disappointing that I have to run everything through both amplification and noise reduction to make it useable. Is that par for the course with USB microphones or have I missed something?

Thanks for the help! I appreciate it.

Re: Volume too low on USB mic - pre-amp help? Mic level vs l

Part of their charm is you don't have to worry about anything other than plugging the mic in and turning it on. Just a note that you should plug in and turn the microphone on and onl...

Getting distortion on audio recording - guitar and vocal

... clipping, and I can hear it fine - i.e. no distortion - when I turn the speakers up. It's only in Audacity that I'm getting the distortion. Please help! I thought I had finally found a user-friendly, idiot-proof way of recording my songs (primarily guitar and vocals) but it's obviously not going ...
