... and the exported file was great. My only problem is hearing the recording in Audacity so I can establish the section I want to keep. Can you help me? Myron

hello and good afternoon everybody. I would like to know if is possible record, stop the recording and later record again at the point that stop. something like punch in and punch out. thanks for your help and have a nice week. :)

Thanks Bill, I'm using a wireless microphone, and running a line out from an amplifier box (RCA to 3.5mm) into the headphone socket of a mac. The headphone socket? That's an output, you want an input to the mac. What mac? Laptop or desktop? What year and model? What make and model of "amplifie...

Audacity's noise removal will help a bit to reduce that hiss noise, but see if you can turn up something to improve the signal-to-noise ratio , as that's preferable to noise reduction ...

No, it still does not recognize the microphone going through preferences. I tried changing from mono to stereo and back. No response. I will order one of those Startech USB adapters. Thanks for your help. Deb

You'll need software with automatic de-click, (not Audacity) , like Brian Davies click-repair ...

As per the information in red above:
Please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from Help > About Audacity and whether you obtained the .exe installer or the zip.

Is it possible to count the no: of times a word is played?

... to do this, where I copy the frequency clip of the specific ad, and then search the audio recording for that matching frequency clip? Please help. I tried Audacity, but I couldn't find anything. So please help :( :( :(

It doesn't happen with every recording just occasionally.

Is there anything I can do to improve the file now that I have it?
