... rate for the mixer in Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup. If the mixer has a sample rate control, set that to 96000 Hz also. If that does not help, try setting 44100 Hz everywhere instead of 96000 Hz. Gale

... the heck is the issue? Oh, yes I down loaded Lame so i don't think it is that issue. I have reinstalled audacity three times lame three times. any help would be appreciated before I just go use wavelength or protocols or whatever
