... in my USB devices, even using standard Windows drivers. I haven't seem a clear implication that the host used makes a difference. What kind of help are you looking for in implementing WASAPI? I do not compile Audacity myself but simply download and install it out of the box. I like Audacity's ...

... Set project rate bottom left of Audacity to 48000 Hz. Save the new video as an MPG file. Then use a DVD authoring application. There is some help with using Avidemux to make a DVD-compatible MPG file at http://www.avidemux.org/admWiki/doku.php?id=tutorial:converting_to_dvd . Gale

Re: Utter novice seeks help joining files.

When you say you were able to save the AU and AUF files, was this because they were in Audacity's temporary folder? If you had never edited this recording then it is recoverable with patience (in 1 GB sections) by following http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recovering_crashes_manually.html . The ...

Re: Utter novice seeks help joining files.

My question is, is there a way to join them together so they play as one long file rather than them all playing at the same time (over the top of each other) as I can only seem to achieve at the moment. The proper way to do that is to open the AUP file with Audacity. The AUP file contains a list of...

Re: importing a track to a project creates a blank track

Hi,

Thank you so much for your help. I managed to download FFmpeg and was able to remove the vocal from a video clip. This is the audio only.

Axtually what I want is to have the video with no vocal so that I can burn to a cd/dvd for my karaoke. Will I be able to do that?

Thank you again.

Re: Utter novice seeks help joining files.

Hi Gale Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately I don't have the AUP file, just AU & AUF files. When I try to add the AU files to a new project they just stack up in 6 second files one below the other. My question is, is there a way to join them together so they play as one long...
