I'm making an acapella for the song 'I bet my life" by Imagine Dragons and i am trying to use the "phase cancellation" method. I have an instrumental and the regular but i cannot seem to line the two up so when i invert it it does nothing to the audio. Can someone please give me tips ...

... empty ( zero bytes) , I wasn't successful in saving this one but the previous one that was recorded the same day. I'm not sure if a crash fix will help considering I still have the program open with the empty 22 minutes on it. I had a feeling that I solution wouldn't be found for this problem considering ...

If I understand you right, e.g. the 64 bit float would be too "good" and has to be converted? 64 bit float would be exactly "as good" as 32 bit float, but no better, so you would be doubling the file size for zero benefit. As an analogy, it's like having a list of numbers: 1.3, ...

5. 32 bit float. (because that is what Audacity is using internally, so there are no conversion losses).
