I have not used audacity for a couple years and forget how to get the meter to display or hear the sound.
I have a Artcessorie USB phono plus to transfer LPs on a turntable to my windows 8.1 PC

Audacity does not play YouTube videos online so that is a separate problem that we can't help you with. Ask for help from Mozilla, Google or Microsoft according to whatever browser you are using. I suggest you make sure you have Audacity 2.0.6 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows ...
