... happened? I've tried over and over. I deleted Audacity and reloaded it. I went back to Sourceforge and got a fresh copy and reloaded it. Nothing helps. Can you help? Thank you, Ron D.

... split the tracks, save the recording then send it to WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER to burn a CD with Windows 7. WHY? Worked great with XP. Thanks for any help..

FYI - If you know that there are 8 bits in a byte, and you know that the sample rate is the number of samples per second, you can calculate file size for an uncompressed WAV: File Size in bytes = (Sample rate in Hz) x (bit depth/8) x (Playing Time in Seconds) x (Number of Channels). ... can look perfect (especially after being cleaned) but still lack the necessary grip due to ageing. If they look shiny, then cleaning with IPA may help in the short term, but if that is the case they are likely to have also stretched a little and hardened so replacing them is likely to be necessary.

Simply said: no. Either you export to mp3, or you reduce bitrate/samplerate, but that will affect quality too. I suppose you use 44.1 KHz, 16 bit. Reducing to 22 KHz won't affect the sound too much, but it might not play back on every device. And if your OS upsamples automatically, it will affect pe...

I am using Windows 8.1 an Audacity 2.1.0 So I am working on creating a map on Source SDK for CS:GO and I decided to add some music. The music files are .mp3 and all range between 9-10 Mb. I used audacity and exported them as .wav files at 44100Hz, but then each file became up to 40Mb in size and it ...
