There's not of actual noise there, so it could be almost anything. How about "Dirty Noise" (attached). Does that work?

Hi, need some help!
i've running Audacity 2.0.5 on Mac and all my recordings have a very noticable "hiss" in the background. i've tried disconnecting the power source, recoding in a different room etc but its still there. Am I doing something wrong?
