Audacity stops recording when I switch applications...

I'm trying to copy some old tapes to digital. I have a USB tape deck and it works great in audacity as long as I don't try to do something else while it's recording. As soon as I move away from the application recording stops as though I hit the stop button.

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise

Having a separate power supply on the USB isolator would be a big boon. But you can also use a powered hub after the isolator. And have we tried a shorter/thicker USB cable? It's the only boon so far, and you left one out. The 1KHz data management signal inside the USB cable is a majority of that t...

Re: NEED HELP! Guitar Recording with Peavey X-Port Interface

I really would like my own personal guy to help me with all my questions We don't provide 1 to 1 support. Audacity is free and is primarily developed and supported by volunteers. Support is via this public forum. 1. When I record, I can hear what ...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise

I think the suppliers are depending on the Yeti users not talking to each other. "Does your Yeti fail ACX AudioBook because of that whiney noise? Mine does, too!" "Hey, wait. Mine does that!!" "No foolin'? I wondered about that stupid noise." And etc. One thing to reme...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise

There are two main causes for USB interference: - A groundloop over USB. That can usually be fixed with a ground isolator. I've never tried this particular isolator, because, as you said, they are mainly for over voltage protection in industrial environments. This shouldn't be present if the laptop ...
