thanks for the help guys, I didn't think that storing files on portable devices wasn't a good idea but now you mention it it makes sense, thanks.

Need help with raw vocals
Producing a song and just need some help with some raw vocals. My singer did some vocal recordings in mix track and they seem a bit flat. Need some treble,is there an onboard eq in audacity? Im a guitarist so i dont know much about audacity ...

Post a raw sample. Straight out of the microphone. No patching, level adjusting, effects, filters, noise-removal, etc. Don't use the volume sliders on the left of the track. Don't help it in any way.

Yes I think some sort of splitter cable would be the best option. I rarely have a need to record vocals and piano simultaneously anyway so it's a minor grievance. In the instances that I do I'll try adding some stereo effects in post as Trebor kindly suggested.
