Running audacity like this "env PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 audacity", as suggested on your wiki , didn't help. It just caused audacity to freeze for a minute when every playback was attempted. Try other numbers such as 50. OMG, that worked! :P Thanks very much! I wonder ...
