How to Automate Equal Distance?

... to put like different sound bytes together with equal distance of time between them. I need it to be at least .5 seconds between each byte. Any help would be appreciated.

... trying to enter into which box? Are you using the numbers on the numeric keypad, or the numbers above the letters on the keyboard? Look in "Help > About Audacity > Build Information". Does it say that Audacity is using WxWisgets 2.8.x or WxWidgets 3.x.x?

Please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity (see: "Help > About Audacity") Which "peak limiter" effect are you using? (please post the address of where you obtained it). It doesn't work or works very slowly ...

It doesn't work or works very slowly, 2 minutes or more, when defaults. Please, help, explain and correct. Also for Limiter, Brick-wall limiter.

As Koz wrote, the recording environment is really important. In particular, if there is excessive reverberation (room echoes) or background noise, then you will never get a really professional sounding recording.
