using audacity with windows 8 professional

... ezcap cassette music capture When trying to set up I notice there is no USB preference input option as suggested in the setup guide. Can anyone help - or guide me to the correct part of the forum if I have asked in wrong place. Thanks in anticipation of a response. wyke

Thanks for the help
I dont have a reason, I just want to understand how it works and why beta versions do not have the dll file. They have libmp3lame files however they are not dll but dsp and vcproj files.

... an option. BSOD's can sometimes cause system damage. And users can turn options on by default without reading the implications. We still have to help those users. I recommend you build HEAD yourself with WDM-KS enabled. I have shown you what to change a while ago. Gale

The version that I am trying to use doesnt have lame.exe or maybe I can't find it. Can you help me? What exactly are you trying to do, and why must you use an old version of LAME to do that? Your topic title said "w/o DLL" assuming "w/o" means "without". ...

... If your computer is a branded computer, check the manufacturers website to see if they have updated drivers for Windows 10. Thanks for the help. This seems to be the issue: No compatible drivers yet.
