Re: can i record to my windows media player
Is it a physical radio? If so you can record if you have a stereo line-in on your computer and you buy the correct cable to connect from headphones out of the radio. Most computers don't have a proper stereo line-in these days. We have a set of tutorials you can work through http://manual.audacityte...

Re: Time Domain and Frequency Domain
I am given particular instructions on an assignment Who set the assignment for you? Have you asked them for help? A "spectrogram view" shows frequency levels and how they change over time. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audio_track_dropdown_menu.html#spgram ...

Re: Help needed: Audacity does not record everything
Another thing you can try is experimenting with "Audio to buffer" in Audacity's "Recording" Preferences. The default is 100 milliseconds. The usual problem the setting causes is clicking in recordings unless the buffer is set to only a few milliseconds. Normally you might try inc...

Re: What is causing this issue?
Strangely enough, I may have somehow fixed the issue.
All I did was uninstall my audio driver & reinstalled it, rebooted & now the mic seems to work flawlessly without any jagged/erratic waveforms, hopefully this keeps up.
Either way thanks for all the help!

Re: Recording Vocals with Audacity (Kind of need help?)
It captures the vocals in the Audacity program very dry and natural. The best you can do is a raw voice recording with no "room" in it. No echoes, reverb or noises. Once you get that, you can go anywhere else. Dry is without effects, wet is with. Many software packages provide a slider so...

Re: What is causing this issue?
I've tried all the above posts (Thank you for the help btw) but unfortunately they have all had little to no effect. So you are connecting the mic to the mic port of the computer? As weird as this may sound I think the underlying cause of the issue ...

... someone. Audacity does not yet officially support Windows 10, but that probably isn't the problem. You can see the Audacity version you have at Help > About Audacity... . If it only says "2", it is a bogus version. Get the latest 2.1.1 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows ...
