Need help with editing a sound file

I need help with removing the faint knocking sound in the background of the sound recording. I've tried cutting out parts of the audio but it ends up being way too short (0.3 seconds) and the looping of the sound is very noticeable. ...

Need Help Salvaging a Single Track Recording

Hi, I decided to record a conversation I was having with a girl recently in a coffee shop so that I could go back and listen to it again later to help remember what we talked about, her answers to questions, etc. (I really like her). To do this, I used an app on my phone and just had the phone ...

Re: Help matching acoustics between two voice recordings

You can make this worse. My example sound file is a producer who decided they didn't need that darn ol' studio and they were going to record at home. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/clips/EchoSample.mp3 This person will always sound like she recorded in her mum's kitchen. There's no filters for that,...

Re: Help matching acoustics between two voice recordings

I assume Sample 2 is the ratty one only because it sounds ratty. Is that close enough? I can't get any closer without tons of work. You didn't just change rooms did you? You went from an expensive studio to your inexpensive living room and you want us to make them sound the same. That roaring in a c...

Re: Help matching acoustics between two voice recordings

That's not dreadful. I was all set to rain on you for including echoes in your performance, but this seems to be a straight equalization job (it says here).

Let me see what I can do. If I get a working filter, I'll publish so you can do it, too.

Help matching acoustics between two voice recordings

I'm editing together an audio lecture for one of my classes in Audacity. I unfortunately had to record different pieces of the lecture in two different rooms and the ambience of the resulting recordings differs somewhat. Assuming I don't have a chance to re-record, I'm wondering if there's a way to ...
