I have a Behringer Xenyx Q802USB mixer board and I am trying to record my Roland V-Drums digital kit directly into mixer and I'm still getting major hissing on playback. Can anyone help me out is it the volumes on speakers etc on recording or levels or a connection problem. Thanks.

Koz - Yes, it's possible that I closed up shop before Audacity finished saving the project. To be honest, the recording was done a few months ago and after transcribing a multitude of others (for some reason I worked backwards), I just can't recall the details. I've been searching for awhile and no one seemed to be interested in uninstalling ffmpeg on mac. I downloaded the .dmg file from the download link that audacity gave me (I believe it's lame.buanzo.org). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

OK. I've solved this by following the procedure at:

as far as step 4, after which it worked ok. Even produced sound from Audacity while Muse Score was still open, which is the first time ever.

I understand Audacity writes the AUP file last. What's the possibility you closed up shop before Audacity got done saving the Project?
