Hi there, I have recordings of air pulses and I need to find a way to automatically determine the number of pulses per second. Typically they are in the range of 5-20 Hz. So far I have been able to do this manually. Here is my manual workflow: 1. 1kHz high pass filter (48dB rolloff) 2. 3kHz low pass...

Re: Crashes on Yosemite

Thanks for the crash report. Does disabling App Nap help? And can you try the "2.1.2 RC1 (for testing)" version from http://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html/ ? If there is any fix to be made we need to make it in that current code. What would ...

Re: How is "clipping" determined?

Usually preceded by the phrase, "Help me clean up ..."

We don't do simple sentences so good: "The audio is clipped." But we can do subjunctive: "The audio very probably would have been clipped had it been a little louder."

... not latency correction. 100 ms is the default, so generally that value should be OK on Linux. If it was relevant, increasing above 100 ms might help crackly/clicky playback. Make sure the project rate bottom left of Audacity is the same as the sample rate of the tracks, or there will be resampling, ...

Re: Crashes on Yosemite

Did you look in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app for any reports about Audacity there?

Right-click over Audacity and choose "Get Info". Does it help if you check (tick) the box "Prevent App Nap"?

Re: Editing chains - equalization scale?

Ok, all of a sudden, I get a bug report-sending popup when trying to attempt to access the EQ-levels menu. I tried restarting my comp and reinstalling the program, to no avail, it doesn't help, I can't get into the menus anymore. What on earth?
