How can I repair corrupted 3GP audio files?
... while others use an MP4a codec. How can I repair them? I have plenty of other recordings from the same source which are fine. I guess this might help to repair the bad ones. I have seen that there are some online services that do repair this kind of files. The problem with these is that the prices ...

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
You don't have to stop at one furniture moving blanket. This is an animation voice shoot I did in a quiet, but echo-plagued room. http://www.kozco.com/pictures/boothFinished/laptop-mic.jpg We can't take out echoes and that Live Room sound. That's why people record in a studio. We can put echoes in.....

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
32 bit is not going to help you with ACX posting. They require very good quality MP3. MP3 files do not make good archive and edit masters. For that you need the WAV files. While I like your story and voice quality in general, are you ...

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
To be clear, the two samples you posted "Chapter 2. Cooper waited patiently..." sound the same. What doesn't match is the first clip you posted. None of us can figure out what happened to that one. I think some of my tools and processes don't much like 32-bit. That can create problems. You...

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
Post a screen capture of ACX-Test. You did that, too. This is me paying attention now. I'm having trouble making all the sound numbers come out at the same time. ACX-Check shows peak values way too high for normal sound processing. I'm pulling down the longer piece. Are both of those posts 32-bit? ...

Where did it say the peaks were? Post a screen capture of ACX-Test.

... start with managing peaks and then process RMS if required. We never got a clean voice sample. There are other minimal-damage things you can do to help along a performance. Koz

Re: Problem with *.wav play time file inside audacity
I open this file with audacity version 1.3.8.0 There isn't an Audacity version 1.3.8.0. The Audacity version number found in "Help menu > About Audacity". There was a version 1.3.8 but that is long obsolete. The current version of Audacity is 2.1.1 and it is available here: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/windows
