The middle value, gain, is supposed to help make up for that, but I don't like tools that are violins; you need to be a practiced expert to use them.

... whatever 2.0.1 is doing could be put in 2.1.2. We hope to be updating the PortAudio audio I/O library that we use, which has some fixes that may help. Then we can see if more needs to be done by us. Would you like to help us test those changes when made? Gale
