Selecting direct sound makes no difference

What happens at 44100 Hz sample rate?
Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help > About Audacity")
Which version of Windows?
What are you trying to record and what equipment are you using (make + model number where possible).

I am using Audacity 2.12 on Windows 10. I am unsure why it is taking so long to record my cassette. The cassette is only about 45 minutes long. However, when recording it is taking over 3 hours. Any help is greatly appreciated.
