... the "Audio to Buffer" setting, but that hasn't produced any difference. Oh, and I'm just playing back through the built-in output. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On closer inspection even the 96000 project rate has tiny gaps in the recorded audio.
I did another test with a microphone, no problems even at 8000 recording setting.
Tried a different driver, same issue so I'm stumped :?
