Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection

... Selection Toolbar. But we still make them switch to Spectrogram View and enable Spectral Selection. A shortcut to turn Spectral Selection on will help them, but why force that step when they have Spectral Selection Toolbar on in the first place? What use is Spectral Selection Toolbar, as we arrange ...

Re: Youtube's algorithm for content ID music removal?

... would try this with real music and a real singer, it would be very much harder... The algo is the same as Audacity's, but probably with some AI help from Google. The AI would tune it automatically, in Audacity you have to tune manually.

Re: Recordings breaking up

... you uncheck that you should hear the Line In play through the computer and you could try recording it with stereo mix. I don't see why it should help but it is not obvious what the problem is other than an actual fault with the line input. Gale

Re: Help with removing music from a video

I'm wondering if there is a way for me to remove a song that includes vocals from a video? The video gets a copyright strike on youtube You could then presumably try YouTube's own system https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2902117?hl=en but I don't know what methods they use, if not inversion...

Re: removing vocals from an mp3 file

Thank you Kozikowski for the fast reply. I think you are right, the file may be compressed. Is there anyway to undo that? I pulled the song out of a video and it was originally mmvm or something like that. I had to rename it mp3. Anyway thanks again for your input, it will help in future.

Re: Help with removing music from a video

It seemed to do absolutely nothing. Cancellation only works when the two pieces are absolutely, perfectly lined up opposite each other. So your two tools to go are Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) and the volume slider to the left of the track. Jockey your brains out. If either of the tw...

Re: Enabling my custom LADSPA plugin?

I don't know enough about LADSPA plug-ins to help you with your code, but if the plug-in is immediately disabled, then that is most probably due to a problem in the plug-in.
Have you considered writing it as an LV2 plug-in? http://lv2plug.in/

Enabling my custom LADSPA plugin?

... disables itself again after I close the window. Due to the fact that LADSPA's website no longer exists, I don't know exactly where to turn for help. Not sure if this is the right board, since it's /sort of/ related to Audacity, but my main question is if there's something wrong with my source ...

Could you say for us which suggestion fixed the problem? That may help other users who are searching.

Thanks.
