I receive an error message suddenly every time I try to apply the noise reduction to remove a crackle, I restarted Audacity with no help, it still says something like : "sample rate must match the noise profile rate" , it's basic wav file, ??

I was recording and playing back until I got this error. "Error while opening sound device. Please check the playback device settings and the project sample rate." Everything seems to check out as far as I can tell, but perhaps I don't know what to look for? Please help.

I am using the 2.1.2 version.
When trying to export a file to wav - ulaw its saves the file to AIFF format file.
