... DAW program for strictly voice over work. However, I'm having problems recording all my words. Some are cut out. Sentences are chopped. Can anyone help me with this?

Exactly correct. If you post a "clean" recording we have a fighting chance to help you. If you post a clip after post production, all we can tell you is, "you did it wrong." We can't take effects and filters out. I can't listen to it right this second, ...

... a "Line in" will appear in the Input tab of Sound Preferences. If so, click to select it and restart Audacity. If that does not help we will need complete information about this Mac from Apple menu > About this Mac including the audio hardware list from the System Report. Gale
