Exporting combined audio tracks messes with lengths
... Windows 7. When I play the track in windows media player it shows the correct track length but continues playing for 1.5-2 mins. Thank you for any help available. I couldn't find anything in the search function that sounds like what is happening so assume I am doing something wrong.

You've got a stereo device so you'll need to record in stereo, then delete the silent track and convert to mono (assuming you want mono).

And it clips at 0.5. That's important. It's not generic clipping. Is there a Focusrite Windows 10 driver or other support software? It's possible the Scarlett isn't supported under Win10. Pretend you're buying a new Scarlett. Does it say explicitly anywhere in the sales brochure it works in Windows ...

That YouTube [v=VxcbppCX6Rk], even when played at top 1080p "HD" quality , does not contain any audio above 16kHz ... I'm probably not getting something, but this is the spectrogram/frequenciy analysis that I'm getting (recording through either microphone or speakers): http://imgur.com/sm...

Thank you for your help. It appears that, since the .aup files were inadvertently deleted outside of Audacity, their projects cannot be recovered.

mono recording only half volume
... the soundwave is cut off. Does anyone know how to get rid of that? I didn't have this problem before changing computers. I'm very grateful for any help you may be able to give. Mark
