Well I was on Lubuntu, but have now installed Ubuntu-Studio and am running Audacity 2.1.2 now. Does that help?

... (we are not doing anything different from our previous episodes) our other 10 episodes took only about 20 minutes to convert for us. Can anyone help us out here?

What's the file size of the AUP file?

... think the uninstall is removing all the files, since after re-installing it has recent file list. Therefore, I'm not sure if re-installing will help. Any ideas?

Yes, without a doubt... I've used audacity in the past and familiar with it but this is the first time this has happened with a project

Does it actually say "'[file]" or does it say:

The exact message is as follows '[file] is an audacity project file. Use 'file>open' command to open Audacity projects', thanks in advance
