Re: Settings and Input levels - URGENT HELP PLEASE.
Are you choosing the USB Audio CODEC for the turntable as recording device? Yes I am. I have renamed the device from within Windows 7 and called it Tevion USB Turntable so it is easily recognisable. If you connect the RCA cables of a USB turntable to the computer mic port, then choose the mic recor...

Re: Settings and Input levels - URGENT HELP PLEASE.
One particular set of settings I'm trying to figure out are for the Real Time Conversion (RTC) and the HQ Conversion (HQC) available from the Edit/Preferences/Quality menu. It seems that the terminology has changed in the drop down menus. The video instructs to set the Real Time Conversion to "...

... I believe it is a spinning drive within an HP laptop. I've never had to recover any data recovery along these lines, so any advice would be really helpful. Thank you again for the help!

Re: Settings and Input levels - URGENT HELP PLEASE.
All I want really is a simple procedure, beginning to end, explaining to me so that the last few vinyl albums that I have which cannot be replaced with CD's or downloaded MP3 files can be transferred to my computer, my MP3 player and CD. In which case have a look at this workflow tutorial in the Ma...

Re: Settings and Input levels - URGENT HELP PLEASE.
I referred to YouTube as a port of call because I am struggling with your on-line manual. I have always believed that a picture paints a thousand words and if you can actually see someone doing what you want to achieve then that is a good way of teaching. Basically, with my limited knowledge, experi...

Re: PLEASE HELP! Audacity Isn't Detecting Sound From My Mic
The only correct input choice is the USB Audio CODEC for the Yamaha.
If you don't see that choice in Audacity, use Transport > Rescan Audio Devices in the Audacity Menu Bar at the top. If you connect a USB device after Audacity is running, you need to rescan or to restart Audacity.

PLEASE HELP! Audacity Isn't Detecting Sound From My Mic
Hi, I'm struggling with an Audio Technica microphone. It's plugged into a Steinberg CI 1 Yamaha USB interface but Audacity isn't picking it up. The built-in mic on my computer picks up sound but I'm trying to record guitar and vocals so I require a separate microphone so that the guitar doesn't over...
