Here's another possible solution. I had a number of corrupt files from a audio recorder. I could not figure out the raw import settings. Recordings sound like they are playing back at xx speed

... is fine because the words are no longer choppy (see second attachment). What I would like to do is find a way to automate the manual process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The thing which does the most to cut down the editing time is recording well the first time. But that's not the only thing that causes problems. Your threshold of excellence changes as you edit. "You know, now that I listen to it critically, I could probably tighten up that paragraph a little....
