Re: how to format to WAV
Ok, thanks again for everyone's help. I understand how to use the time shift function to create a simple crossfade. Now, once I have enough tracks lined up to burn a full CD, is there a way to burn the CD through Audacity? If so, how? If ...

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
Love it! It can be tough, working in the 'field'...
I am now past the coffee portion of my day and onto the red wine. Probably best not to be trying out any new mastering approaches until tomorrow, anyway!

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
I keep all versions at every stage! Completely neurotic because (whisper it) I'm not entirely sure what I should be doing... I'm very pleased. You can always throw out work you don't need, but desperately needing to go back to work you don't have is way too common. Being professionally obsessive I ...

Re: Unpredictable tech clicks in sound file
What exactly do you mean by "tech" clicks? Could you post an audio sample ? This FAQ in the Manual for the next release of Audacity might help: http://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Recording_-_Troubleshooting#mac_crackle . Don't use that Manual otherwise, because it won't relate ...

... all labels that are encompassed by the selection you make in the Label Track. The selection remains the same after processing. It would probably help if you said what you are trying to do. If you could select all the labels at once, which you can't, what would you want to do to those regions? ...

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
The damage caused by noise-reduction is irreversible. Hopefully you still have a previous version before noise reduction was applied. BTW There are two free plug-ins for Audacity here : DeClicking & DeEssing , worth having if you do narration. I keep all versions at every stage! Completely neur...

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
Hi,
Thank you so much for all the responses
I've attached the rough version in WAV 16-bit (cut out loads of spaces to make it short enough for upload).
Thanks!

Re: White noise during recording with AKAI EIE Pro
A few people on the AKAI forum say that using a USB 2.0 Hub and then not connecting any other USB devices may help. May be worth trying at least.
