Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
... What? You don't keep a portable recorder with you? This isn't the first time I suspected the recorder was doing processing to "help me." In an earlier part of the clip I think I can detect that weird, wine-glass cellphone sound of it trying to suppress all that water "noise." ...

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product

It's easy to do vague, metaphorical hand-waving and forget what the poster really wants is, "Which button do I push."I really appreciate you putting this up as well
You can totally do theatrical patching and production and screw up basic audio. It is a balancing act.

Re: Timer not working/ windows 7
Thank you for the help. I will try those thing latter this evening.
I did click on the HELP box and it showed numerous failures to start various things and there was an error code 136 which I think is a fault in my registry.

... in Audacity. It is unusual that a corrupt file would do that, rather than refuse to open or show a short section of just noise. I did not use the Help feature as I opted for this forum instead. My apologies. You did right to ask here... and often you may find an answer in other replies if you ...

... that is the version you are using. See the pink panel at the top of the page for how to find your Audacity version number. It may or may not help if you leave the screen showing Audacity throughout the recording and turn off any screen savers. It may help if you check the Region and Language ...

... these replies. I did make a typo as to the Audacity version - I am using 2.0.6. Yes, I saw a track with a flat line in Audacity. I did not use the Help feature as I opted for this forum instead. My apologies. I did not try to open the file from the Edirol. I did drag the file onto my desktop (as ...

... it's greyed out... can't even change it. You can still presumably remove the checkmarks from the two Exclusive Mode boxes (which "might" help if you choose MME host in Audacity's Device Toolbar ), or leave them checked and change host to Windows DirectSound or Windows WASAPI. Have you ...
