Audacity can only record from one device at a time. If you can hear what you want to hear in the mixer output then you should be able to record it in Audacity it you choose the USB CODEC for the mixer as the recording device. The UCA 202 is sometimes bundled with Behringer analogue mixers that don't have a USB connection.

... the experiment, I was able to make a UM2 recording after a lid open, but I couldn't replicate it. Transport > Rescan... is available but does not help. Thanks for the response Doug. I'll see if I can explain my set-up. Mixer is connected to laptop via USB. Audio red/white cable coming from headphone jack on laptop into mixer channel. Also have a Turbosound ip1000 speaker with left/right cables connecting to mixer. PCDJ Karaoki is a separate applica...
