Help finding effects to fix stuttering audio
Hi! I tried searching for fixing a stuttered file, but most is about not getting the problem in the first place. I've just video recorded 5 hour seminar, and well, re-recording really won't work :/ :cry: I tried removing the silences, that obviously doesn't work very well since it becomes too short....

... of the entire file, your signal level is low (not surprising with a bird recording). The Amplify effect can bring-up the volume, which may help a little. Boosting the volume will also boost the background, but no worse than if you turn-up the volume during playback.

In Windows? Audacity gets its sound from Windows. You should be able to get the little Windows sound meters to bounce when you perform. You can leave Audacity closed until you get that far.i just cant seem to get it to pick up any sound
