This any better? I took out the popping and booming sounds because you're too close to the microphone. Then I applied a De-Esser filter to get rid of the super crisp S S S sounds. Post back when you either get something to work or need more help. I assume "recording your turntables" means recording the DJ Mixer and not trying to record two turntables at once. Audacity will only record from one device at a time, so you can record one turntable or one microphone.

Sure it is. In a silent room, plug in a microphone, set Audacity to record from the mic and start recording.

I'm guessing that for some reason that is not doing what you want, so tell us what the problem is and we may be able to help.
