I have audacity 2.1.2
I don't remember if I got the zip or not.

All I want to do is make a small piece of vocal sounds, birdcalls maybe - for half a minute maybe - and then repeat that for half an hour

Then burn a cd of it.

can't figure out how to do it.

Several years ago, I used Edgar's instructions to compile Audacity. Definitely, it is outdated now. However, I still have a copy of it.

If you have audio between 0 and 13 seconds in track 4 that you want to keep, then you'll have to drag all the tracks to right by 13 seconds.
